The TCT 2026 Musical Auditions are open to Trumbull residents and
our friends and neighbors in the surrounding communities
The age range for the adult company is high school freshman - 100+.
There will be a select children’s ensemble comprised of 3rd - 8th grade students.

General Information:
We will cast up to 60 in the adult company and 20 in the children’s ensemble.
Girls auditioning for the roles of Shprintze and Bielke are asked to choose a children’s ensemble vocal audition time slot.
Your audition should show us who you are, not who you think we want you to be.
Please sign up for one, half-hour vocal audition time slot AND one, forty-five minute dance audition time slot. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your time slots to sign in, catch your breath, and focus. Both vocal and dance auditions are mandatory.
Bring all known conflicts to auditions. No absences allowed on rehearsal dates between November 16th - December 6th. *Note: Availability materially impacts casting.

Read-Through: Sunday, October 4th, 5 - 9 pm
Rehearsals:
October 4th - November 24th, 6 - 10 pm
Monday - Thursday Only
*Friday, November 20 - Sunday, November 22, if necessary.
Tech Week: November 28th - December 2nd
Performances: December 3rd - December 6th
Strike: December 6th, Immediately Post-Show - December 12th

Sunday, September 13th from 3 - 7 pm.
*Children’s Ensemble 3:00 - 4:00
*Adult Company 4:00 - 7:00

Monday, September 14th from 6 - 9 pm.
*Children’s Ensemble 6:00 - 7:00
*Adult Company 7:00 - 9:00

Thursday, September 17th from 6 - 9 pm.

What to Prepare:
Photograph: Bring a color photograph of yourself from 2026. Color photocopies are acceptable. No one else should be in said photograph, and photographs will not be returned.
Resume: Optional, but appreciated.
Music:
Adults - Up to 1-minute of a classical musical theatre song.*
Children’s Ensemble - Up to 30 seconds of a classical musical theatre song.*
No pop/rock. No contemporary musical theatre.
(*Classical musical theatre is typically considered to have started when Oklahoma debuted on
March 31, 1943 and ended with the debut of Promises, Promises on December 1, 1968.)
Bring sheet music in the proper key, clearly marked with a beginning, end, and any cuts. Music should be in a binder. If you prefer to use an accompaniment track, please be sure that track has been downloaded directly to the source you will be playing it from and it is properly cued.
We reserve the right to cut your audition short. If we do this it is only an indication that we have heard what we need to hear.
*Do Not Sing a Song From the Show.
Sides: Adults only. Choose one of the sides provided to read. You will perform this at your audition with a reader. It does not need to be memorized. See attachments below

Weds., September 23rd 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM

*Adult Company 7:00 - 9:00
What to Wear: Comfortable clothes.
Close-toed shoes. *No Flip-Flops, Sandals, or Crocs.
Please have your hair pulled back out of your face.
What to Bring: A water bottle with water in it.
Callbacks:
*Note #1: Not everyone will be needed for callbacks.
*Note #2: Information will be posted on www.trumbullcommunitytheatre.org on Wednesday, September 23rd.
Date: Sunday, September 27th, 3 - 7 pm
What to Prepare: Materials will be provided. It is advisable for you to prepare these materials ahead of time. Print hard copies. Use of phones and tablets will not be allowed at callbacks.
