VOCAL AUDITIONS

ADULTS, TEENS, KIDS 4TH - 8TH GRADE
September 17th: (WEDNESDAY) 6-9 PM
September 18th: (THURSDAY) 6-9 PM
September 19th: (FRIDAY) 6-8 PM

WHAT TO PREPARE:

Please prepare a 16-32 bar excerpt (approximately 1 minute) from a song that you feel comfortable performing. The song should be age-appropriate. If you'd like to sing something from the show, that's great! Choose the key in which you wish to audition and bring the sheet music in that key; we cannot transpose.  Please bring sheet music for the full song with your audition section clearly marked. However, please be prepared to sing the entire song if asked. You do not need to be fully memorized for the full song.

You may also bring an instrumental track (YouTube, karaoke, etc.) to play from your phone. A cappella is not encouraged, but acceptable if necessary.

Please bring a recent photo or snapshot. Photocopies are acceptable. Please note that photos will not be returned.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your time slot. We will audition people in the order they arrive and sign in.    Please be prepared to list ALL conflict dates you have from September 25 through performances. Please include all days, weekends, and holidays when you are unavailable or out of town.

A Note from the Director:

Before the audition, please take the time to rehearse telling the story while you sing. This will give the directors a much better idea of the parts you are best suited for.

Watch the movie starring Bing Crosby. While it may not match exactly, it will provide you with a good understanding of the story if you are not already familiar with it.

Please be thorough when sharing your schedule conflicts so that we can stay on track and avoid any surprises. This would be really helpful!

I can’t wait to get started!

Best,
Sabrina
